    Article: Margaretville Hospital’s Ambulatory Dept. Gets Significant Upgrades | Catskill Mountain News

    Margaretville Hospital officials and board members toured the recently completed renovations to the hospital’s Ambulatory Department on February 20.

    The Ambulatory Department is where outpatient endoscopy procedures are performed by Kevin Dodd, MD, a gastroenterologist who sees patients at the hospital two to three times each month. The Department also cares for wound care patients who need dressing changes and those patients who require outpatient IV infusion treatments. The Ambulatory Department renovations were started last fall and completed in January. The improvements were made possible through funding from the Margaretville Health Foundation.

    The Margaretville Health Foundation, now in its 6th year as a nonprofit, renews its commitment to the vision of ensuring the Central Catskills community has access to the highest quality health care. To achieve this goal, the Foundation directs all of its resources to raising funds for the benefit of the Margaretville Hospital and Mountainside Residential Care Center. This year’s appeal is to help enrich the lives of the residents of Mountainside Residential Care Center by raising money to replace the old dressers and bedside tables with new ones.
