The Margaretville Health Foundation continues to play a growing role in helping to provide resources for current needs and to strengthen the long-term finances for Margaretville Hospital and Mountainside Residential Care Center. The organization balances two scales in its role as a fundraising arm for Margaretville Hospital and Mountainside. The Margaretville Health Foundation was set up to ensure the future of the two health care facilities. Secondly, the foundation works to provide support for the current needs of upgrades to the facilities and for advanced medical technology in this era of ever-changing, innovative healthcare. The Margaretville Health Foundation was established by mandate in 2009 and is a recognized New York State charity. The foundation’s Board Chairperson Heather Brighton refers to it as an organization still in its infancy.
Heather Brighton was presented with Margaretville Hospital’s Keene A. Roadman Citizenship Award at Saturday’s Harvest Moon.
Ms. Brighton was recognized for her continuing efforts as chair of the Margaretville Health
Foundation. She has served as chair of the Margaretville foundation since 2009.
